Tropical isle lifestyle apartments in Rio de Janeiro

It's improbable you have heard of Ilha da Gigoia, let alone been there. Undoubtedly not a famous place like Ipanema or Copacabana and it's not a very significant island. A brief walk will cover the whole place and it should be considered that there are no roads or cars. Being such a noiseless and relaxed environment makes for wonderful accommodations. If you're seeking a different vacation get away than staying at hotels, it may also surprise you that Gigoia is in the heart of Rio de Janeiro, but yet still, most people have never heard of it, much less have they looked for apartments there.
Being amongst the most significant of islands in Lagoa da Tijuca, which lies at the northern end of Barra de Tijuca, close to Barra Point Shopping. Concealed away, this unique piece of real estate is a one of the secret treasures of Rio de Janeiro, though still reasonably close to places like Copacabana and Ipanema. Cars are not a necessity here and there are boats that transfer everyone to and from the island. The boats run 24 hours, 7 days a week. It won't take you long to get to know the ferryman and nearby people of the island.
With someplace in the neighborhood of 2000 people living on the island, it without doubt has a feeling of community and without a doubt it will be an intriguing place to travel to. In addition to flats and apartments, the island features local bars and dining establishments. Though you won't find any hotels and it's not an extreme night life, it certainly has its charms and rentals are feasible. In addition to this you can also find numerous services including internet, laundry, a small drug store, as well as a local grocery store on the island, which can be practical.
One of the tricks though is actually obtaining apartments, flats or any kind of rentals on Ilha da Gigoia. This is where it becomes necessary to know people. Being one of those "off the beaten path" kind of places, obtaining accommodations on this charming little island paradise isn't as easy as surfing the internet or opening a newspaper. In this case, it really becomes mandatory to get out there and connect with people. If you're looking for a place to live on the island, that little hole in the wall bar nestled near the "main street" has now become your portal to the community. Just ask around, eventually you interact with someone who knows someone who can point you in the right direction.
With some good fortune, you will soon find yourself in your new comforting island home. Away from the fast paced city life, noises of traffic and common nuisances. The perfect surroundings for anyone who is seeking a little peace and quiet and a diverse way of life. Not your common holiday in hotels. So sit back, relax and enjoy the charms that this little island life has to offer. Enjoy Rio de Janeiro in a unique light.
