The staff and crew of the cruise ship are also part of the community that deserves the same respect that you want to have. Many of them are rendering their service to take charge of the chores that you usually do at home. They are the one who makes life easier for you while you're onboard, they cook your food and serve them, and they clean your room and provide you quality services. That's why they should be treated right.

Giving the staff and crew a tip is a form of how you appreciate their services towards you, of how thankful are you of their services. Giving tips is a usual thing to do especially in hotels and restaurants since providing quality services deserves to be acknowledged.

In a cruising experience, just like any other hotels, giving tips could also motivate the crew to improve on their services the next time they serve you, it will inspire them to do better and even the best service they can provide.

While on the ship, you should be considerate and sensitive to the feelings of other people onboard, you should be observant and be aware to some guidelines. For instance, if you want to spend your dinner in fine dining, you should at least wear the appropriate formal dress for the place. If you cannot comply with the proper dress code, you also have the option to spend your meals to other non-formal resto or you may just arrange for a food delivery right at your room.

You should know how to deal with people especially when you're in a place where you need to be silent like watching stage plays, then, you should not talk so that you will not disturb others who are seriously watching the show. Following simple rules and guidelines is one way of respecting others because not following the rules might be offensive to others onboard.

To relax doesn't mean that you should be concern only of yourself; you have to keep in mind that you are temporarily living in a community and that you need to adjust on certain rules in order to have peaceful travel.
