BVI Yacht Charter-Create an Itinerary for a Perfect Holiday
by Bud Dryerson
Single word that describes BVI's is "wonderful". As you advance into the Soper's Hole marina with your BVI yacht charter, the view of the luscious green mountains overlooking the cobalt color marina is truly enthralling. British Virgin Islands will never disenchant anyone. Snorkelling, scuba diving, sailing, shopping at local shops for handcrafted jewellery, Caribbean paintings and gemstones, white sand beaches and tranquil cobalt waters, the itinerary of activities is limitless.
For experiencing and exploring the entire BVI's chalking out a rough itinerary will aid in making the most of your yacht charter trip.
Begin your volcanic island journey at Tortola. Dive into the unruffled blue waters, shop at the local boutiques and shops and have lunch at Pussers Landing. In the Afternoon, sail off to Norman Island and go snorkelling at the Indians. Later visit the caves and come ashore for Pirates Bight. Finally spend your evening at William Thornton, a floating bar and restaurant enjoying delectable food.
Next day, cover any place remaining from day one or else navigate your yacht charter to Salt Island and check out the world famous Rhone shipwreck. Later cruise to Cooper Island. On the way stop at the National Park Point and take a dip into the water to catch a glimpse of amazing coral reefs. If you reach Cooper Island before sunset, snorkel at Cistern Bay, a perfect way to end your day.
Third day, sail off to the South Western tip of Virgin Gorda Island and visit the magnificent Baths, a large formation of naturally placed rocks and rock pools. Anchor at Bath early morning before 10 am to avoid the crowd. Take a walk to the top of the Baths and enjoy lunch at "Mad Dogs". In the evening, head for "Trellis Bay" and "Marina Bay" to explore serene beaches. Feel the breeze, walk on the shore and enjoy dinner at "The Last Resort".
Fourth day sail your yacht charter to main Virgin Gorda Island, a great place to snorkel around here is "The Dogs" or "Mountain Point". Apart from snorkelling, windsurfing, scuba diving, kite boarding are other sports you can try. Later, just laze around on beaches or visit Leverick Bay and Biras Creek for some splendid sights. Have dinner at Pussers Resort or Bitter End Yacht Club.
Fifth day set off for Anegada and experience the pristine island. Two-hour sail from Virgin Gorda will take you to some of the marvellous sights of unbroken sand beaches. Let everything go, loosen yourself and be sure to catch a glance of Dolphins, Flamingos and Whales. In the evening, treat yourself to local delicacy, the grilled lobster.
Next day prepare to return to Jost Van Dyke. Take a dip for the last time, snorkel or just relax. Check out Soggy Dollar bar for the popular "Pain Killer" drink and let yourself loose at the Foxy's. The nightlife here will keep you awake all night.
Final day sail back to Tortola and on way stop at Sandy Cay, a deserted island displaying pristine natural beauty at its best, a perfect way to end the vacation. Lastly, sail back with BVI Yacht charter to Tortola with ever lasting memories.
