What To Do In My Cuba Holidays

by Mauricio Maurette

Never have Cuba holidays been so popular among holiday makers until recent years, especially after its government opened its doors to tourism and foreign investment. For some this amazing Caribbean island is a must in the agenda of most interesting places in the world.

Cuba is the largest of the Antilles and offers a wide variety of holidays. If you are looking for just relaxation on a beach resort or get to know the island by joining an escorted tour Cuba certainly does not lack options

Guardalavaca in the eastern part of Cuba should be considered as number one option for those looking for just relaxation on a beach resort. It is not too commercialized as perhaps other beach locations in Cuba and it is definitely one of the best places for snorkeling in Cuba.

Vinales Valley located in Pinar del Rio province enjoys by far the most astonishing landscapes of Cuba. It is also famous for its tobacco plantations responsible for the best cigars in the World.

Trinidad de Cuba one of the most beautiful cities in Cuba was declared World Heritage Site in 1986 by UNESCO. Today Trinidad still looks the same it was 300 years ago. Trinidad also has the best beaches in the Caribbean side of Cuba so if you want to blend a bit of culture and relaxation then Trinidad is definitely the place to go.

Cienfuegos is known in Cuba as The Pearl of the South it is one of the youngest provinces in terms of development yet it is over 100 years old. It is important to highlight that Cienfuegos has one of the most impressive architecture styles in Cuba.

For history lovers and those wanting to get to know the real Caribbean culture there is no better place than Santiago the Cuba. With a very rich cultural heritage Santiago de Cuba is the best place to enjoy a Cuban Carnival which takes place around the 26th of July every year.

Things might change in Cuba pretty soon and there is so much to see before it happens. My recommendation is not to delay your plans to travel to Cuba or you might miss the last 50 years of history and culture.
