From Linda Garrison, your Guide to Cruises
I think one of the best things about cruising is the wide variety of ships. Ships range in size from less than a dozen passengers to over three thousand, and the prices range from less than $100 per day to over $1000 per day! These 9 large cruise ships range in price and amenities, but all offer interesting ports and a wide variety of things to do onboard.

Do You Have a Large Cruise Ship Personality?
With hundreds of choices, almost everyone can find a cruise ship to suit their tastes. There are certainly ships of all sizes and price ranges!

How do you choose a cruise ship to fit your vacation personality? Large mega ships with over 1,500 passengers are the most common type of ship. Is a large ship best for you and your family? You might like a cruise on a large ship if these factors describe your cruise personality.

Oasis of the Seas
A discussion of large cruise ships wouldn't be complete without including one of the two largest cruise ships in the world, the Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas. These mega-ships have something for everyone--even those who don't think they would like a cruise!

Norwegian Epic
The 153,000-ton, 4,100-passenger Norwegian Epic is Norwegian Cruise Line's largest ship. Launched in June 2010, the ship is filled with innovations, and cruise travelers will love the wide range of high-quality entertainment, food, and venues.

Emerald Princess
The 113,561-ton ship carries 3,070 passengers and 1,225 crew. This large cruise ship looks much like her sister ships the Crown Princess and Ruby Princess.
