World's First Red African Grey Parrot of South Africa
Do you like this story?
African Grey Parrots are always well, GREY!, but one african grey parrot seems to defy this common logic, a genetic mutation that has become very famous ever since its birth in South Africa, It was breed by expert African Grey Parrot Breeder Hennie Diedericks who has had a deam to breed a pure red african grey since a long time, some people may oppose this as brutal manipulation of mother nature but the Parrot seems to be very healthy and well taken care of.
The Red African grey parrot was totally white when it was born and then developed the Red coloration while its sibling remained Grey. It is yet to be seen if this is possible in Timney African Grey Parrots as well.
