Eastern part of India is very rich culturally and geographically. Kolkata is center point of the region. It is the capital of West Bengal. Historically, it was the capital of India in British emperor. In 1911, the capital transfer to Delhi. Initially, it was – Kalikata then Calcutta and now Kolkata.
Tourist has great scope to tour the region of India. From historical aspect, a tourist can travel - St. Paul's Cathedral, Victoria Memorial, Vidyasagar Setu and National Library.
St. Paul’s Cathedral is situated beside Victoria Memorial. In Kolkata it is known as "island of attractions". It was built in 1847 by Bishop Wilson in Gothic Revival style. It is one of the most attractive places for tourists in Kolkata.
Victoria Memorial was built in the memory of Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom between 1906 and 1921.
